Synopsis

This film is written like a poem. The filmmaker’s voice draws us in as close as possible to his own emotions, and his questions about traditional myths. Sensual bodies fill the screen, namely his wife and newborn daughter who he films lovingly, capturing their first wordless moments of contact together. The beauty here lies in the way the film keeps a sensitive distance to convey this precious intimacy in a touching but non-voyeuristic way, and brings out the universal nature of this theme of the birth of a family.
