Synopsis

The filmmaker gave such a clear explanation of his work in an interview in the magazine “Images Documentaire”, that we thought we’d show it here verbatim: “… a film about baroque instrument makers, about listening, about tuning your intuitive ear to hear the type of sound an instrument will make, but also listening through other musicians by sharing each other’s experiences.” He films: “people in search of a sound in sync with an era … the film, just like its subject, is improvised but also highly composed”. Here, artist and artisan blur into one.
