Synopsis

Guy Moquet or Guimo or Guim’s promissed Ticky to kiss her at dusk in front of everybody, right in the middle of the neighborhood. Maybe not that crazy… but surely not that simple.

Tënk's opinion

Whether or not you’re into languorous kissing at sunset, this film is for you! Presented at the Directors’ Fortnight in 2014, this short film is acted by young people from Grenoble’s working-class district of La Villeneuve and contains all their strength and energy. With its rom-com script, Demis Herenger manages to capture the inventiveness of language and the improvisations of his non-professional actors. Can you make your films when you’re young and black? Can you keep your individuality when you’re part of a group? How do you live your dream without worrying about what others think of you? It’s smart and funny at the same time – true cinema!
