Programmed by Federico Rossin
Young women from fifteen to eighteen years of age live in a residence next to a textile factory. Conflict breaks out among them but also with their counsellors and the direction. Like the revolt expressed by the young women, Vera Chytilová rebels cinematically by adopting a free, direct, original style. The Czech New Wave is heralded here.
