Synopsis

What if the key to admiring William Eggleston’s photographs was to remain in the dark about the creative secrets behind his work? This film lies on the boundary between fact and fiction, and every shot is imbued with his persona and photographic vision. The near total absence of any clues to his hidden techniques adds a distinct flavour to the film, making it hard to make up one’s mind: is this a portrait of the photographer, as elusive as ever, or simply a device to show us a wholly different film?
